Vision for Developing Research Groups & More
Purpose
To bring together researchers with similar interests to focus on particular areas of research, develop projects, undertake joint activities, and share expertise
Benefit
The ability to share research expertise, increase productivity and efficiency, and enhance the quality of research available to others in the field and to the general public
Reason
To encourage others to think creatively and build strong communication skills which also help in refining understanding of the material. It has been proven that those who participate in research grow.
Community
To build up a valuable network of contacts that are familiar with you and your research. It also helps you develop confidence in your professional life, making events like conferences just that little bit less daunting.
Current Project Steps
Step 1: Research Development Groups & Networking -
Building & Working On!
Research Development Groups bring together like-minded researchers who are beginners to advance from different disciplines interested in particular topic areas to engage in research development groups that can foster new interdisciplinary collaborations, evaluate funding opportunities, and submit research proposals and joint publications. 5 Elements Coaching RDG currently has one active research development group and is working towards starting more, always looking to add new topic areas.

Future Project Steps
Step 2: Create and offer a Journal for Publications & Peer Reviewers
Part of being a research development group is to provide scientific evidence research and a place that will allow that research to be published with peer reviewers while making it accessible, efficient, and breaking down barriers. This will be an eventual project for the board to focus on and bring to fruition.
Step 3: Create and provide IRB services
There is a place for various types of scientific evidence-based research, from human studies to secondary studies. Another future project would be to provide an actual Institutional Review Board (IRB). This committee reviews research methods to ensure they are ethical or to give a partnership with an established IRB or several IRBs. The IRB aims to protect the participant rights and welfare of human research. This will be another eventual project for the board to review and focus on.
